Non-DOT Urine Specimen Collector Train-the-Trainer training qualifies learners to collect urine and train new collectors under non-federal protocols.
Created by subject matter expert and attorney Andrew Easler, the Non-DOT Urine Specimen Collector Train-the-Trainer course provides learners with an understanding, the knowledge, and qualification required for performing Non-DOT urine specimen collections and training new collectors for "collect-only" tests and QuickScreens, commonly called, Rapid-Dip Panels or Instant Tests, and includes one state supplement.
While the Department of Transportation (DOT) governs drug testing for safety-sensitive positions, Non-DOT testing pertains to employers and industries not regulated by the DOT. Learners who enroll in this course are trained on Non-DOT, state-specific protocols and will provide learners with an understanding of the differences between DOT and non-DOT collection practices, including but not limited to the diverse procedures involved in non-regulated drug testing and how to ensure proper chain of custody and handling procedures to reduce or prevent fatal flaws.
Training self-paced training allows participants to progress at their own pace, utilizing various resources, including videos, documents, resources, and PowerPoint presentations for an engaging learning experience. The course also includes initial training supplies, virtual mock demonstrations, and scenario training, which provides hands-on practice in a virtual environment learning to handle many everyday situations encountered when performing collections.
Upon successfully passing the online exam, learners can download their qualification certificate immediately. This certificate empowers trainers to collect and qualify others in Non-DOT Urine Specimen Collection, ensuring compliance with the relevant state-specific protocols and regulations.
Corporate trainers will be provided an instructor account to register new learners and their initital proficiency for $30 per person per course. Volume trainers can subscribe to our eLearning platform, which also includes pre-made courseware or license SCORM files for third-party systems.
