Our instructor-led virtual mock collection training meets and surpasses the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated specimen collection requirements for urine drug testing. This training extends beyond conventional programs by incorporating scenario-based learning, equipping urine specimen collectors with the essential skills to tackle common challenges encountered during DOT urine drug testing.
Mock collections serve as simulated practices of actual collection processes, demonstrating learners' competency in carrying out all steps in the specimen collection procedure, and through these simulations, learners are trained to maintain the integrity of the specimen and effectively adhere to the chain of custody requirements as laid out in 49 CFR Part 40.
A unique advantage of enrolling in our virtual mock collections is the inclusion of scenario-based learning, which exposes learners to realistic situations they might face while conducting urine collections and drug tests, which will provide collectors with the confidence and ability to proficiently navigate a variety of scenarios, thereby reducing the likelihood of errors or "fatal flaws" that could invalidate test results and potentially lead to significant liability.
Our mock collections are conducted in group settings and guided by our experienced instructors. Each session lasts approximately four hours, offering ample opportunities for individualized guidance, interaction, and practical application.
Upon completing five mock collections, learners will achieve an initial proficiency demonstration and gain the confidence and ability to handle diverse testing situations. This training ultimately contributes to fostering a safer transportation environment. On course completion, learners can download a certificate and perform DOT drug tests immediately.
